As is typical of the best entrepreneurs, Ossie Hinds started by working for an established firm, gaining exposure to the list brokerage business from the Client side. That's when, in 1987, he came to that classic, entrepreneurial conclusion: "Something's missing, and I think I can build a company that provides it."
Ossie observed that two things were absent from the Canadian list brokerage landscape: Competition and adequate attention to Client service.
Resolving to give the incumbent competition a run for their money – and to do it by offering an unprecedented level of Client service – Ossie set out to found Cornerstone as a list brokerage company.What followed was explosive growth in Cornerstone's products and services – growth that today sees the company approaching the 300-employee mark.
